Best Black Friday Deals For Gamers

Black Friday will be upon us in about a week and that means two things. Tons of awesome stuff for cheap; and empty wallets because you bought so much cheap stuff. Every year hundreds of thousands of people go out to their local stores to snag the best deals of the year on stuff in preparation for the holiday season and gamers are no different. Hell, last year I sat in line at a Target for 7 hours to buy my 46” LCD TV. It was one of the best deals I’ve gotten on anything ever. No doubt I’ll be back in lines again this year, maybe not for a huge TV, but maybe some sweet gaming gear. This got me thinking; why not help all my fellow gamers and give you the lowdown on some sweet deals. For those who aren’t gamers but have a special person in their life who is, here are some ideas.

Of course, this all depends on what you have so not all items may apply, even though I’d totally love a bigger TV.

Let’s start off with my favorite, Best Buy. Year after year Best Buy always has a few of the best deals on video games and this year they are sticking to their guns. This year, Best Buy will be having Epic Mickey 2 for Wii, Medal of Honor Warfighter: Limited edition, Darksiders 2, and Battlefield 3 Premium Edition for both consoles for only $29.99.

Assassin’s Creed 3, Madden 13, Forza Horizon, Borderlands 2, Fifa Soccer 13, Diablo 3 are also being sold for $34.99 each.

For another $34.99 each you can pickup either a Dualshock 3 PS3 controller, an Xbox 360 wireless controller, the Turtle Beach Ear Force P11 Gaming headset for the PS3, or the Turtle Beach Ear Force X12 gaming headset for the Xbox 360.

They will also have kinect titles like, Wipeout 3, Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth, Dance Central 3, Kinect Sports: Ultimate, Dragon Ball Z Kinect, and Just Dance 4 for just $24.99 each.

If you’re looking for consoles, they’ve got you covered too. They’ve got the 3DS Holiday Bundle which includes a 3DS and Super Mario 3D Land for $149.99.  You’ve also got a Call of Duty Black Ops Declassified PlayStation Vita bundle for $199.99 and your standard Xbox 360 Holiday bundle which includes a 250 Gig hard drive, Forza 4 and Skyrim. There will also be a PlayStation 3 Holiday bundle that includes a 250GB console, the new sliding top model and Uncharted 1+2 and Infamous for $199.99

And the doorbuster, Starting at Midnight on Friday they will be selling a Toshiba 40″ LCD 1080P HDTV for just $179.99. This is a great size 1080P television that any gamer would love to get.

Target also has some pretty sweet deals.

For just $35 you can grab yourself a copy of Madden 13, Medal of Honor: Warfighter, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, Borderlands 2, and Epic Mickey 2. All for PS3 or 360, except for Epic Mickey 2 which is for Wii.

For just $25 you can snag a copy of Modern Warfare 3 or Max Payne 3. and you can save yourself 10 bucks and get a 1600 Microsoft point card for just $10

On the console front, Target has the PlayStation 3 250GB console with Uncharted 1 and 2, and infamous for $199.99. The Xbox 360 kinect bundle which includes the 4GB console with kinect sensor with Kinect Disneyland and Kinect Adventures for $199.99. They also have a Nintendo Wii console bundle with Wii Sports + Wii sports resort, and Just Dance Kids 2 for $119. A Nintendo 3DS with Super Mario 3D Land for $149.99 and controllers for the PS3, Wii, and 360 for $39

Target’s doorbuster is an Apex 32″ LCD 720P HDTV for $147 or a Westinghouse 50″ 1080P LCD HDTV for $349

But even though those deals seemed pretty sweet, for videogames Walmart is your winner.

For $38.96 you can grab yourself a copy of Assassin’s Creed 3 for either PS3 or 360. Here come the jaw dropping deals. FIFA Soccer 13, NBA 2k13, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Dishonored, Skyrim, NCAA Football 13, WWE 13, XCOM: Enemy unknown, Borderlands 2, Medal of Honor: Warfighter, and Battlefield 3 for just $25 each!

For just $15 you can grab a copy of Max Payne 3, Dance Central 3, Forza Horizon, Fable: The Journey, Spec ops: the line, and Lego Batman.

And on the console front, you can grab a 4GB white slim Xbox 360 Skylanders bundle for $149. The 160GB PS3 bundle with Uncharted 1 and 2, and Infamous for $199. Or a Nintendo Wii for just $89. All of this starts at 8pm on Thanksgiving day.

The gem of Walmart is their 50″ Emerson 1080P LCD HDTV for just $298. The best part of this tv is that it’s not a doorbuster.

And lastly, we have Old Navy. Visitors who line up and purchase at least $40 in merchandise at Old Navy have a chance to receive New Super Mario Bros. U for the Nintendo Wii U.

Remember, these are just the highlights and there are tons of other things out there. Also don’t forget about Cyber Monday! That’s the monday after thanksgiving. Stay tuned for the best of Cyber Monday deals coming later this week.
