Game lovers rejoice! If you’re like me, you’ve got quite a large list of games to buy this year. Specifically, on November 11th I have four games to pick up. At least, I would have had four to pick up. Luckily for me, Ubisoft announced yesterday that The Crew will be delayed for another 3 weeks. That sets The Crew for a December 2nd release date. Creative Director Juilian Gerighty had this to say,
“We received a lot of valuable information from the recent PC and console betas… We are now scrutinizing all of the player feedback so we can ensure that The Crew delivers the seamless open-world experience that meets everyone’s high expectations. This ongoing process has already resulted in some substantial updates to the game, including everything from the option to fully remove the HUD so players can enjoy the scenery as they roam freely through a massive re-creation of the United States, to fine-tuning the collisions to be even more realistic and adding in new visual effects. Other major enhancements include adjustments to the difficulty and better integration of the voice chat – especially helpful when crewing up with other players.”
They also announced another beta for the consoles!
“the three closed betas added in a few additional unplanned side trips, in order to ensure that players have even more of what they crave in The Crew’s massive open-world playground. And the upcoming console closed beta in November gives the development team and the players yet another chance to work together to deliver a truly revolutionary driving experience.”
It’s a bit of a bummer for driving game lovers but it sounds like it’s for the best that it got delayed. I know I’m bummed but at least I’ll have another paycheck to work with and don’t have to drop $240 in a single day. This delay is just one of several other games this year.
