Square Enix has just announced today during a presentation that Kingdom Hearts 3 will launch worldwide on both the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One. Kingdom Hearts 3 is the sequel to my two favorite games, Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 on the PlayStation 2, with a bunch of games in between for the Nintendo DS and 3DS consoles.
The new game is touted to be the most action-packed Kingdom Hearts game yet. It’s supposed to be featuring a more mature, grown up Sora back on an adventure with his old pals Goofy, Donald, and Mickey. Brand new Disney themed worlds are set to be discovered in this next Disney Interactive collaboration.
Square Enix had announced a fully remastered Kingdom Hearts experience for the PlayStation 3 titled Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix, at this years Penny Arcade Expo. It is the Kingdom Hearts Final Mix which was an exclusive Japanese market release with new bosses, heartless, and numerous fixes. Included in that pack will be Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories. All of this with full trophy support.
While there is no current release date, Producer Shinji Hashimoto had said that the game is currently in development by the same team that created Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, and aforementioned Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix.
