Mortal Kombat X Trailer Released

Quite recently, a trailer was released by Publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment to show off a reveal for thew newest Mortal Kombat game, Mortal Kombat X. The trailer features a fight between Sub Zero and Scorpion to a original song by Wiz Khalifa titled “Can’t be Stopped” which has been written exclusively for this trailer.

The trailer offers no actual gameplay (it’s entirely cinematic) but that doesn’t mean it isn’t entertaining. The same guys who made the original Mortal Kombat reboot in 2011 NetherRealm studios is at the helm again and i’m very excited to see what they can do with the next gen systems. Mortal Kombat X is in development for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Windows PC. And the game will be debut at E3 2014 next week.

Ed Boon, co-creator of the Mortal Kombat series and Creative Director at NetherRealm said

“Mortal Kombat has always been about over-the-top, visceral fighting and with Mortal Kombat X we wanted to utilize the power of new-gen consoles to give players our most intense game yet,”

“The team has worked hard to make sure Mortal Kombat X delivers everything fans expect along with new characters, new game modes and an all-new graphics engine.”

 

It was also said that online play will play a larger role in MKX. The game is said to feature a “persistent online contest where every fight matters in a global battle for supremacy.”
