Another year, another cover athlete is coming to EA’s NHL series and as a Boston fan I’m quite disappointed with who the fans have voted for.

For those who don’t know, the cover athlete for the past few NHL games have been announced at the end of the year NHL Awards in Las Vegas and this year is no different. This year Steven Stamkos, last year’s cover boy came up on stage and literally turned a page on the NHL12 cover to reveal Claude Giroux of the Philadelphia Flyers as the new cover athlete for NHL13.

It looks like our plan to get a Bruin on the cover of NHL13 didn’t work, but there’s always next year.
