Razer has just announced at CES 2015 a brand new peripheral called the Razer Turret that looks to bring the Keyboard and Mouse to your living room couch. The Turret was designed to bring the full PC gaming experience to the couch while still allowing users who prefer keyboard and mouse over a controller an option to do so. The Turret features a fully fledged PC gaming keyboard which has anti ghosting features as well as a highly precise ambidextrous gaming mouse with a changeable DPI up to 3500. What separates this from other attempts to bring the keyboard and mouse to the living room is the magnetic surface of the mouse pad section and the mouse which makes sure that your mouse won’t just slide away. The issue with a lot of wireless keyboard and mouse solutions is the lag time between movement and result and Razer thought about this and decided to include dual wireless technologies which allows you to connect via Bluetooth or the standard 2.4GHz adapter which allows you play lag free.
The Razer Turret is ergonomic and ultra slim so you’ll be sure to enjoy hours of gaming without the stress of aching hands. The Turret also comes with a foldable hinge that allows the lapboard to be unobtrusive and actually dockable when you’re done using it. Now an issue that you might be thinking about with any wireless technology is the battery life. The Razer Turret sports an amazing battery life and says that the Razer Turret can support 40 hours of non-stop play. That’s absolutely incredible and Razer says that they did this so you wouldn’t have to charge the Razer Turret after every use.
One of the coolest parts of the Razer Turret is that you can use it with any PC you currently own so you aren’t forced to get the new Razer FORGE TV.
The Razer Turret is going to run you $129.99 and will be coming sometime this year.
