You might remember when Microsoft announced their last temporary price drop which ran from November 2nd of 2014 until January 3rd of 2015. This was great news for gamers as they were able to purchase a brand new Xbox One for $349.99, which is $50 less than their biggest competitor, the PlayStation 4. During the holiday season the Xbox One sold incredible well and actually outsold the PlayStation 4 for the first time. Well on January 4th the Xbox One rose back up to $399.99 and it seemed like all the steam that Microsoft had been building up over the holiday season had just been let out.
Well, Starting on January 16th the Xbox One will receive another temporary price drop back to $349.99 at your favorite retailer. This is a smart idea by the team over at Microsoft who saw their sales triple over the holiday season and actually led the Xbox One to top the console sales chart for November and December according to the NPD’s. Microsoft has however not said when this sale will end, but be sure to check back to see when they let us know.
