Microsoft and Xbox have announced that the Xbox One will be receiving a system update to add a few features. Starting February 11th users will be prompted with an update that looks to add the management of storage space, a battery power indicator, and the ability to use a USB keyboard.
Directly from the Xbox News site:
- The ability to see and manage your storage space. With this update, you will find it easy to find how much space your content takes up and better manage your content. You can also control your install lineup and more easily manage your download queue. We’ve separated My Games and My Apps into separate lists, so you can easily create separate queues for both. Now you can pick the order in which you want your content to load and we’ve added a boot progress indicator so you can better track updates while they load.
- The battery power indicator is back! You can see it right on the home screen, so you can easily track how much battery life is left on your controller.
- And, you will be able to use your USB keyboard with your Xbox One.
There will also be many behind the scenes additions to the system that xbox “think(s) you’ll love”
Also something of note here, Xbox has also said that there will be a system update coming on March 4th. This update is in anticipation of what they call “the biggest game launch of the year” for Titanfall. The March 4th update is said to add many new features and improvements most importantly to the party and multiplayer systems. Titanfall is set to release on March 11th.
